Jancis R’s review from 2014:
“Fully mature, bronze colour and rather a sluggish bead. Quite a bit of mushrooms and toast on the nose but wonderful freshness on the palate. Great balance. Powerful but not at all sweet. Fully resolved. Very impressive.”
Jeannie Cho Lee’s note from 2014:
“I was speechless when I tasted this Champagne. Although I had the 1985 Krug before, in a magnum format, it was magnificent. A perfect wine that has evolved so beautifully that it has more layers and depth than many Grand Cru red Burgundies. Full bodied yet delicate with toasted hazelnuts, brioche and biscuit notes. Very long finish. A perfect vintage to enjoy now, at nearly 30 years of age.”
