There are lots of recent Cellartracker notes, here are a few of them:

Yellow/gold. Still some bubbles. Rich, complex, dense. Apples, just the right hint of oxidation/sherry to make it really complex, long finish. Drinking beautifully for my palate and at peak. Outstanding.

Medium yellow color with subtle brown undertones. Lively, very fine bubbles. Aromas of Bosc pears, hazelnuts, minerals and brioche. Ripe, full-bodied, creamy, complex fruit in the mouth with great depth and length and a solid core of acidity. Powerful yet elegant on the palate. This impressive wine was surprisingly fresh and intact for a 33 year old Champagne.

The dark color and first funky whiffs put off a few people, but I believed from the start it only needed to “stretch its legs.” After about 20 minutes this filled out gloriously, a very complete and complex wine. Interestingly, this showed better than the ’88 served beside it, was more interesting and pleasant vs. the ’88 more linear and acidic. A stellar Champagne.

Another magnum. Lovely stuff. This was on form and singing. The nose was a beguilingly gentle mix of browning apples, stony minerality, warm years and just a hint of honey and caramel – mature and complex. It was really lovely on the palate too, warm and giving, with a generous ripeness to its apples fruit, but yet also with a sinewy, muscular sense of structure underneath, all just starting to round-off into a gentle maturity. Mousse was round and creamy, if not exactly lively, wrapping around a full midpalate as the wine slid into a beautiful, lenghthy finish. Wonderfully complete and incredibly on point.

Unusual for Krug, there is minimal yeast or caramel. Instead, the ’85 is supremely elegant and complex, even gentle. Asian pear is perhaps the dominant flavor. So easy to drink, so harmonious.
