A rare chance to try one of the early vintages since Walter McKinlay took over this excellent CdRV Seguret estate nestled under the beautiful Dentelles de Montmirail. This Grande Reserve is made from vines over 50 years old: 65% Grenache and 35% Syrah.
At 17 years old the tannins are now finally melting away to leave lovely soft earthy garrigue flavours – the lack of recent notes on Cellartracker suggests that most people drank this serious wine too young!
