Canon de Brem is a very reliable producer from the underappreciated right bank appellation of Canon-Fronsac, rated in the top tier of “Excellent” producers in Parker’s Bordeaux book. The wine style is traditional and benefits from medium term ageing. In a great vintage like 2005, it has probably still not peaked.

A very good Fronsac; still a deep colour mature but with plenty of life left. Smooth, well balanced fruit and tannins, some complexity, good finish.
