A stunning Margaret River Chardonnay that has aged beautifully since this early Wine Advocate review by Lisa Perrotti-Brown in 2011:
“The 2010 Redbrook Chardonnay offers ripe apple and apricot notes with some peach kernel, meal and crushed stone hints. Ripe and silken textured in the mouth, this medium to full bodied wine has good crisp acid, just enough mid-palate fruit and a long finish with a little cedar still jutting out. Still very youthful, consider drinking this 2012-2016+.”
Based on the bottle I tasted this week, this wine is only just reaching its elegant complex peak – albeit with no rush at all to consume. Surprisingly burgundian, this would make a good ringer in a white burgundy line-up!
