Jancis R’s early note:
“Warm, even year when it was easy to make great wine. Hint of liquorice and tar – briary Pinot. But good fruit underneath. Punchy fruit. Suave texture and should age well.”

Yummy. Drinks exceedingly easy, but does not lack any depth or seriousness.

Slight reduction after opening and needed a bit of air to loosen up. It’s still a little stinky after being opened for 2 hours in a decanter. The palate is lovely dark cherry fruit, some very fine tannin gives a little extra texture, acidity scrubs the palate clean d the finish is very long indeed. Shame the nose wasn’t singing I. The same way as the palate. Drinking now but will probably last a few more years at least.

Ruby red, slight hint of ageing. Vibrant aromas of red berries and pears. Quite spicy. Tasting well now but will keep. Lovely with the Christmas turkey.
