Always one of my favourite Crozes, this should now be into its prime drinking window.
According to Julia Harding MW on Jancis Robinson:
“Meaty, savoury dark fruit. Ripe and spicy but fresh too. Extremely fluid on the palate, on the lighter side but gently persistent and the tannins very discreet.”

Above average and drinking well. Animal nose with some fruit. The palate has some sweet fruit, a bit of acidity and some tannins. It’s really easy to drink and will try and save my last 2 bottles for a while if I can resist. 89 points

Starting to drink well. Compared to my last bottle in 2015 and my notes I think it’s similar if not a shade better. I drank alongside a CNDP which was pretty good, so the extra level there wasn’t here but it had a lovely animal nose, with black fruits and the palate has more earthy black fruit. 88/89 points.
