This is a superbly suave and elegant blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah – very moreish and far too easy to finish a bottle too quickly!
Here is Monica Larner’s April 2017 review for the Wine Advocate:
The 2015 Bolgheri Rosso is mostly Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah. The Merlot is harvested on the early side in order to preserve acidity, meanwhile the other varieties are harvested a bit later to add softness and roundness. In order to highlight the crispness of the fruit, one-fourth of the mass is aged in cement and the rest goes into various types of neutral barrel. This terrific wine boasts firm lines and a soft, cherry-driven core. The finish offers a quirky collection of exotic spice aromas that are mild and subtle. Some 130,000 bottles were produced.
